Payrollbee was built on a simple idea: payroll matters too much to be treated as an afterthought. Behind every payslip is a person who’s counting on it, to pay their rent, their childcare, their mortgage. So we set out to build a payroll service that takes that seriously.
Our story
Payrollbee started with a simple frustration. Our founder, Evangeline, has worked in accountancy practices since she was sixteen, long enough to see the same problem coming up again and again. UK businesses were being let down by faceless payroll providers and clunky software, and what was missing was a payroll bureau that simply cared.
So that’s what we built. Because payroll doesn’t need to be complicated. Done properly, it gets out of your way, and frees you up to spend your time on the bit you actually went into business for, not the financial side of it.
The same goes for the accountants we partner with. Practices should be free to focus on the work they love and do best, year ends, R&D claims, advisory, the things that genuinely move the needle for their clients, rather than being tied up in monthly payroll runs. We take payroll off their plate so they can.
Based in Liverpool and working with businesses across the UK, we’re a friendly team who pick up the phone, learn your business, and quietly make sure payroll just works, every week, every month, every year.
